Previewed for months now, Spike Lee’s latest creation for Jordan Brand is officially introduced today. The Air Spike 40 continues the line of Mike’s main man Mars Blackmon, adding to the mash-up Air Jordan models before it, the Spiz’ike and Son of Mars. The shoe draws heavy influence from the Air Jordan 5, featuring a similar silhouette and characteristics from the 1990 Air Jordan like reflective material, a lacelock, and clear detailing on the outsole. On the tech side, the Air Spike 40 will keep you comfortable on or off the court with a Phylon midsole and Zoom Air in the heel. The Air Spike 40 is available beginning today in its debut ‘Total Orange/Game Royal’ colorway for $180 at select Jordan Brand retailers and Nike.com, with additional colorways following on 11/4, 11/18, and 12/16.
