Bruce Kilgore’s Nike Air Force 1 is one of the most important sneakers in the history of well, sneakers. Created in 1982 for the purpose of basketball, nobody could’ve predicted that the model would go on to be a lifestyle classic with fans across the globe. The silhouette alone was responsible for two hit songs – whether you prefer Nelly’s Air Force 1 or the Nike commissioned Classic by Kanye, Nas, and company is subjective and now you can choose what language the heel branding is in. The Nike Air Force 1 “Nai Ke” is an homage to how China holds the model in high regard, with the back heel branding replaced with Chinese logograms for a cultural transformation. Now the low-top is getting involved with this clean off-white and obsidian color combination. Get with us after the break for a full look at the latest “Nai Ke” AF1 and we’ll let you know if we catch this pair at stateside retailers in the future.
