Today Nike released a special story on the new initiative to bring “Nike Air” branding back to some of their most beloved models, like the “Maroon” Air Jordan 6 releasing this weekend and the confirmed return of the Air Jordan 4 “Cement” in its original form next year. Among the photos of each of those shoe included in the article is something else conspicuously added that’s actually the most newsworthy tidbit of everything in the story: a new pair of the Air Jordan 5 “Black/Metallic” with Nike Air on its heel, as well. This seems to confirm that the Air Jordan 5 is getting the remastered treatment, with its OG Nike branding on both the heel and outsole, but with no official word yet, we will have to just consider this a major hint dropped from Jordan Brand for now. Of course, you can stay tuned to Sneaker News for any further information on the return of the remastered Air Jordan 5.
