Nike Sportswear brings back the Nike Air Max 1 “OG Red” every couple of years to appease those who just can’t get enough of the original Tinker Hatfield classic. Another standout from 1987 besides the patented visible air championing AM1 was the Nike Air Odyssey. While the midsole didn’t have the coveted and head-turning bubble, the panels were unmistakably similar to the Air Max 1’s which makes this “OG Red” inspiration all the more fitting. The Neutral Grey side panel returns to give the perfect base for the University Red shade to stand out throughout, and the Odyssey even utilizes a premium leather and suede combination to its advantage. Sure, it’s not the Air Max 1 “OG Red”, but it’ll be the closest you get this holiday season, and you can pick up the release for under $100.
