Nike must’ve gotten their wires crossed with the Nike Zoom Kobe Icon. Releasing on January 15th, 2016, this brand new Kobe sneaker has been the topic of chatter over the last week simply due to the puzzling nature of the design. The outsole of the sneaker is undeniably Nike Kobe DNA, but the rest of the shoe is just a confusing mix of Gary Payton’s Nike Zoom Flight The Glove and inner bootie that doesn’t quite have that Black Mamba flair. At the end of the day, the shoes do look appealing thanks to the all-gold upper, but what Kobe fans really want to know is when the Retro releases are going to begin.
