Today, Supreme launched the first batch of the Spring/Summer collection at its New York City store. Hundreds upon hundreds of eager customers came out to purchase fresh Supreme threads, and for those who have experienced a Thursday Supreme release or a big sneaker campout in general, you know that things can get ugly real quick. We’re learning through The Daily News that a 21-year-old young man was slashed in the face right as he left the shop with his purchase, and witnesses say that the attacker accused the victim of cutting the line earlier. While Supreme wasn’t particularly selling a shoe collaboration, campouts and long queues are a regular part of sneaker releases and the brand, of course, is one of the few non-sneaker labels that are entirely relevant to our circles. In addition, random slashings have been occurring all over New York City over the last several weeks. Stay safe out there, folks. (Warning: graphic photo below; view at your own risk).
