First announced earlier this year, Nike just announced new details for their upcoming BIKETOWN project in their how city of Portland, OR. The city-wide bike share program (think Citi Bikes if you’re familiar with the bike share program in NYC) sponsored by Nike will provide 1,000 bikes to the residents of Portland over the next five years, offering an active and convenient way to get around town. While most of the bikes will feature an orange paint job inspired by the classic Nike shoe box, today the brand unveiled that there will be three special limited edition bike wraps featuring designs inspired by the iconic Air Max 95, Air Safari, and Air Trainer 1 models—each featuring reflective detailing for visibility at night. BIKETOWN launches July 19th in Portland, so if you’re in the area, get on your Nike bike and ride!
