This news comes on the heels of the KD 9’s own price cut to $150 USD even though the shoe utilizes a premium Flyknit construction. With Under Armour’s Steph Curry line showcasing affordable prices across the board as well as the resurgence of adidas Hoops thanks to the help of their Boost cushion system, perhaps Nike felt that a more accessible price point would be better for business.
