Chris Paul‘s career still has a lot of ‘what ifs’ lingering in the background. What if his trade to the Los Angeles Lakers hadn’t been vetoed by the NBA for the infamous “basketball reasons” ruling? What if CP3 and Blake Griffin weren’t hurt for this year’s playoffs? What if Jordan Brand had released this Clippers-inspired Air Jordan 11 Low? Today we get a look at a rare Jordan 11 Low Chris Paul PE that never was, inspired by his current tenure with LA’s other team.

The Jordan 11 Low has been overhauled countless times in the past handful of years including this weekend’s “Closing Ceremony” release featuring premium metallic gold patent leather in honor of the Olympics. This Air Jordan 11 Low Chris Paul “Clippers” look doesn’t utilize no.3 PE branding or even show off CP3’s personal Jordan Brand logo. Instead, it relies heavily on shades of Varsity Red and Game Royal on the Cordura mesh upper and inner lining. A white patent leather mudguard adds a clean albeit surprising finish while a translucent outsole unit ditches any lingering icy additions.
