adidas Originals keeps the heat coming this Summer 2016 season, as the adidas NMD XR1 will release in an upcoming “Triple Black” colorway at select retailers on September 17th. The colorized Boost wave means that a true and through all-black-everything colorway can finally be accomplished atop Boost and Primeknit offerings, now we’ll just have to wait for a stateside release.
The adidas NMD XR1 Primeknit manages to improve on the NMD lineup thanks to a bold striped slip-on woven upper followed by a lockdown TPU cage that brings a mesh ventilation system and doubles down with supportive lace eyelets. The slimmed down midsole unit sees the Micropacer inspired sections cut in half for a sleeker ride while the international “The Brand With The Three Stripes” gets a matching Dark Grey and Black treatment on the heel tab. This adidas NMD XR1 PK also features premium suede on the heel and tongue with embossed trefoil branding to add a luxurious finish to this must-have offering.
