Tinker Hatfield’s iconic 1987 creation, the Nike Air Max 1, stands as one of the most influential running sneakers of all time. Not only did it introduce the world to visible air, but a bevy of initial colorways were so vibrant that it was hard to ignore the model upon initial release. Times have changed a bit for the Air Max 1, as it’s more of a lifestyle go-to these days has been updated by Flyknit, Lunarlon, and more of Nike’s latest technological endeavors to keep it up to speed. Today we get a look at two brand new colorways of the Nike Air Max 1 Premium slated to release this Fall 2016 season.
The Nike Air Max 1 Premium benefits from added stitching on the mudguard for a unique twist to the numerous monochromatic panels in these “Tan” and “Bred” colorways. The suede heavy builds even add sherpa fleeced linings and tongues for a polarizing finish (it’s a little less obvious on the Tan rendition than with the vibrant red fluff popping out of the tongue with the Bred pair). Either way, it’s Nike Sportswear’s way of warning you that the colder months are coming. Which pair do you prefer? Check out more of these two Air Max 1 Premium options below and stay tuned for a release date in the near future.
