The Beautiful x Powerful Collection For Nike Women Is Inspired By The Running Track

Joan Benoit Samuelson ignited a revolution when she competed in the first ever Women’s Olympic Marathon in 1984, and now over three decades later, the belief that women couldn’t withstand running long distances of over 1500 meters has been shattered and then some. Samuelson’s performance pushed women’s running into completely new territory and her motto of ‘There is no finish line’ continues to inspire through Nike’s latest women’s Beautiful X Powerful Collection slated to release on December 1st.

Last week we previewed the Beautiful X Powerful Premium Leather Collection featuring Triple Black takes on the same four Nike running silhouettes. Now the Nike Air Huarache Utility, Nike Air Max Thea, Nike Cortez, and Nike Air Presto are all returning in new Jacquard woven uppers with a vibrant array of fuchsia flash, pink, infrared, and purple inspired by the different running lanes on a track. Premium touches of black leather arrive throughout while gum bottoms add a lifestyle finish perfect for any occasion.

Nike’s homage to Joan Benoit Samuelson was a long time coming, and the Beautiful X Powerful Collection manages to perfectly encapsulate her legendary accomplishments with 8 upcoming women’s exclusive releases. Which pair is your favorite? Check out the Jacquard selection below and stay tuned for more release date updates right here on Sneaker News.
