The ASICS Gel Kayano is back in one of the brightest in-house colorways we’ve seen in quite some time thanks to a purple suede upper as part of the upcoming “Borealis Pack”. We’ve seen the Northern Lights used as an inspiration behind special edition colorways dating all the way back to last February during the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities in Toronto, but brands continue to run with the motif and you really can’t blame them.
Here the ASICS Gel Kayano Trainer returns in a near-unrecognizable form thanks to a bolstered suede upper with a sturdier mesh underlay adding some much-needed ventilation to the pair. A bright purple shade dominates the upper while a darker palette adds more depth to contrast with bright hints of pink on the outsole.
