Kanye West’s Yeezy line has taken the world of sneakers and streetwear by storm. Since its debut in 2015, the Yeezy Boost has become the must-have “it” shoe across the globe, and the hype steam that is powering it forward doesn’t appear to be letting out anytime soon. Jon Wexler, the adidas VP of Global Entertainment and Influencer Marketing, deserves a lot of the credit, so much so that Kanye shouted him out on the regular at his TLOP shows and even went as far as crediting him for “saving his life”.
Jon, who goes by wex1200 on his social media handles, opened up to G-Roc of The Shoe Game on why he believes Kanye is such an influential guy, pointing to Ye’s openness and honesty as key generators of his success. Wex also discusses his favorite Ultra Boost colorways and goes off the topic of adidas by sharing a bit of his personal life. See the full video below.
