One of the greatest athletes in history is hanging it up for good. Usain Bolt announced his retirement from track and field, an arena he’s wholly dominated in convincing fashion. Last night, Puma celebrated Bolt’s outstanding career and the lasting impression he’s made in the industry with a special career retrospective and a heartfelt ceremony that included his parents Wellesley and Jennifer presenting him with his final pair of cleats. This moment was additionally special since his parents gave him his first cleats for his first career race.
Usain Bolt will run his final race – a 100m in London in August – and for that event he’ll wear this special edition of the Puma Bolt Legacy Spikes; the shoes are decorated with details that tie back to Bolt’s career and personal life.
