Official Images of the Undefeated x Nike Air Max 97 “Black”

Updated on September 12th, 2016: The Undefeated x Nike Air Max 97 “Black” releases exclusively at Undefeated on September 16th, 2017 for $180, followed Nike SNKRS on September 21st, 2017 for $180.

Los Angeles-based Undefeated has teamed up with Nike plenty of times in the past, working on grails like the Undefeated Air Jordan 4, celebrating the Low Riders and the Nike Air Huarache, and revisiting classics like the Cortez and Air Force 1. 2017 brings perhaps their most anticipated collaboration with the Swoosh since the extremely limited Jordan 4 in the form of the Undefeated Nike Air Max 97 in honor of the shoe’s 20th anniversary celebration. While a release date is still unknown, you can expect this pair to release during the Fall 2017 season.

Undefeated honors the Air Max 97‘s history through paying tribute to Italy’s favoritism of the model. The wavy side panel stripes return featuring Gogre Green and Speed Red with some ‘Undefeated’ branding matching the boutique’s signature tally logo on the insole. Reflective 3M hits remain while an all black upper boasts premium patent leather on the mudguard. This black pair is rumored to be more readily available than the recently previewed Undefeated Air Max 97 “White” but stay tuned for more confirmation on that in the future.
