Dave White Has Been Painting In These OG Air Jordan 1s For 20 Years

Talk about beaters. It turns out artist Dave White’s connection to the Air Jordan 1 is a lot deeper than just designing a coveted colorway of the shoe. Recently on Instagram, White shared a look at an OG pair of the Air Jordan 1 that he has been wearing while painting for the last 20 years. If you can’t tell, under all that paint is the “Bred” colorway. As a result of creating art in the pair for two decades, they’ve become a unique piece of art themselves.

1985. These are original, for the past 20 years have been the shoes I’ve painted in. Echoes and memories of past paintings are reflected in them.
