adidas has officially unveiled the upcoming Harden Pensole sneaker, the product of an open-sourced partnership between the Trefoil Brand, YouTube Red, and the Pensole academy. Lace Up: The Ultimate Sneaker Challenge was the first ever unscripted competition series in which aspiring footwear designers from around the world fought to develop a creation good enough for the Brand with the Three Stripes. The prize for winning that competition was a job with adidas, as well as the team’s winning design being manufactured for signature athlete, James Harden.
The winning team featured Zeneta Horne (footwear designer), Andre Mayo (brand designer), and Vince Lebon (color materials) who created a sneaker inspired by the monicker “The Amazing Hardini”. This concept celebrates the perennial all-star’s moves on the court as well as his unique ability to create magic while driving to the hole. Adorned in premium leather, this offering features a shroud upper sitting atop a full-length BOUNCE cushioning unit and a Rockets-appropriate color scheme. The Harden Pensole sneaker will be available at select adidas retailers on December 13th, in a limited quantity with an MSRP of $115 USD.
