Up Close With John Elliott’s Nike M2K Tekno Collaboration

Nike’s ready to insert an affordable option into the chunky dad shoe sector with the M2K Tekno, a modernized take on the Air Monarch aesthetic. This quirky shoe has already been the focus of a collaboration with menswear designer John Elliott, who gave a patriotic red/white/blue spin on the shoes for his runway shoe earlier this year. Unlike the three colorways dropping this Saturday, John Elliott’s take opts for contrasting color panels that somehow accentuate the bulky goodness of the M2K, while a metallic finish on the bumper enhances the junk in the proverbial trunk. A release date for the John Elliott x Nike M2K Tekno hasn’t been revealed, but three women’s versions are indeed dropping this Saturday, May 5th.
