Ross Dwyer After appearing in Nike’s recent “Shoe Therapy” ad as Dr. Dana Sole, Emmy award-winning actor, writer, and producer Lena Waithe had an oppurtunity to catch up with Joe La Puma and talk sneakers on Complex’s “Sneaker Shopping.” Rocking a fresh pair of Sean Wotherspoon‘s Air Max 1/97, Waithe discusses her love for Jordans, stating that “When you’ve got Js on, you’re connected to someone who’s almost mythical.” Waithe also discusses Kanye West‘s footwear design ability (spoiler: she’s a fan), and how she’s not very fond of having pink on her sneakers before grabbing two new pairs.
