Nike Rounds Out Trio Of Bold Retros With The Air Trainer 1

Nike Rounds Out Trio Of Bold Retros With The Air Trainer 1

After a look earlier this week at an Air Diamond Turf Max ’96 and an Air Trainer SC High, Nike’s bold and bright “SOA” pack is now completed with a new take on a third retro training silhouette: the iconic Air Trainer 1 Mid. Originally designed to meet the intense training demands of one Vincent “Bo” Jackson, this head-turning iteration of the classic silhouette arrives in a new black/blue colorway, boasting a rubberized toebox and throat with premium royal blue leather overlays and a blue forefoot strap. Detailing arrives via a two-layer black and white midfoot Swoosh and large “87” embroidery on the lateral side of the heel, nodding to the shoe’s original release in 1987. The loud and colorful look is completed with a repeating white “Air” print on the black heel collar, further “87” detailing on the insoles and a clean white midsole/black and blue outsole. These updated Air Trainer 1s will release on Nike.com this June, and are set to retail for $120 USD.

Update: Available now at Footaction.
