One of the sneaker industry’s most common practices is the celebration of a model’s anniversary. We have seen this done time and time again across all brands, as this year is the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 3, the 20th anniversaries of the Air Max 98 and the Air Max Plus, and the 50th anniversary of the Puma Suede. Celebratory campaigns always lead to an uptick in releases for that particular silhouette that includes the return of original color schemes, a bevy of GR releases, and in some cases, collaborations with distinguished shops and influencers in the community. 2019 is slated as the the year of the Air Jordan 4. We have already received word of the return of the beloved “Bred” color scheme with Nike Air branding on its heel amongst other iterations, and now we have a look at two more varieties. While that OG is currently garnering the most hype, you can get a first look at two boisterous versions here, with one coming up in a striking combination of red and gum, and the other opting for a unique black, white, and red basketball graphic. Both models will likely boast a Jumpman on their heels – as they are not OGs by any means – but their eye-catching aesthetics will draw attention from new and old Jordan Brand fans alike. Enjoy a detailed look at both of these upcoming colors below and stay tuned for their 2019 release information as we have them.
