In honor of the 90th anniversary celebration of one of the most iconic cartoon characters in the history of television, Vans is following up on its four-piece collaborative capsule from the Summer to further their homage to Mickey Mouse. Utilizing illustrious silhouettes from their massive skate arsenal, the collection sees itself done up in a number of color schemes that feature a signature Walt Disney touch. Of course, no Vans collaborative collection would be complete without a set of matching apparel to help further this nod to Mickey’s well-documented evolution and tireless spirit. A simplistic Vans SK8-Hi is deigned to honor the Mouse’s 1928 film debut, while another colorway of the same recognizable silhouette borrows design cues from Mickey’s “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” persona from the revered film, Fantasia. Moving on to the Old Skool, the design teams from Vans and Disney teamed up to create a boisterous Mousketeer-inspired model as well as a rough and tough 1980s-inspired. flaming Slip-On. For all that and the rest of the expansive apparel and footwear collection, check out our detailed look below and look forward to its arrival in sizing for the whole family at Vans retailers on October 5th.
