Barry Sanders‘ NFL career, while relatively short, is often considered one of the most prolific in the history of the sport. Spending all ten of his seasons with the Detroit Lions and amassing no less than 1,115 yards, he made ten Pro Bowls, was named to six All Pro First Teams, and won the 1997 NFL MVP award. In his three years at Oklahoma State, he was equally successful, taking home the 1988 Heisman Trophy, and scoring an almost inconceivable 37 touchdowns that season. Along with being one of the greatest athletes to ever step inside the white lines, he was the proverbial face of the lovably chunky Air Zoom Turf football trainer. To further celebrate Sanders’ illustrious time as an OSU Cowboy, he is releasing a limited version of the Air Zoom Turf Jet with his number 21 on the strap of the left shoe and an “OSU” hit on the right. Sanders’ signature can be seen on the underside of the left tongue, opposite “Out Of Nowhere” on the right, with Barry’s Heisman season receiving commemoration on both heels. Stock will be limited to only 250 pairs and they will go on sale tomorrow, at the Oklahoma State Student Union.
