UA’s Next “Chef Curry” Sneaker Release Is Inspired By Steph’s Wife Ayesha

UA’s Next “Chef Curry” Sneaker Release Is Inspired By Steph’s Wife Ayesha

Stephen Curry is a man of many nicknames. There is Steph of course, the Baby-Faced Assassin, The Golden Boy, and most famously Chef Curry. From a classic This Is Sports Center commercial, to the Drake line “Been cookin’ with the sauce, Chef Curry with the pot, boy” – which actually has a double meaning as Steph’s wife, Ayesha, is the star of her own cooking show – Curry has made many names for himself due to his his incredible handles and his out-of-this-world shooting ability. In honor of his most famous monicker, Under Armour is cooking up the latest UA Curry 5 “International Smoke”, with colorway inspiration from Ayesha herself.  International Smoke is the name of Ayesha’s first ever restaurant in collaboration with Chef Michael Mina which first debuted in the Bay Area, but now has a second location in Houston, Texas. The grey and black hues of this Curry 5 represent the different styles of cooking that go down at International Smoke – American and international barbecue which both call for heavy doses of both fire and smoke lending to the primarily black and grey color combination. Grab an official set of images for the newest UA Curry 5 below and look forward to its arrival at UA.com on November 16th.
