The Nike Tailwind OG Is Dropping Soon In Black

The Nike Tailwind OG Is Dropping Soon In Black

Upon its original full release way back in 1979, the Nike Tailwind revolutionized running shoes as the Swoosh Brand’s first ever silhouette to feature an Air unit in the heel. Though the once-futuristic tech the Tailwind boasts may have now become commonplace, its classic look still holds up — and the Tailwind has become a beloved casual sneaker, one that enjoyed a successful re-release earlier this year in a combination of grey and sport blue. Now, the waffle-soled runner is aiming to keep the momentum it established earlier this year rolling right along with another classic color combination: black and white. Featuring an upper composed of black mesh and suede plus a large white Swoosh and old-school foam tongue, the Tailwind’s sleek retro look is finished off with a white midsole and — of course — a black waffle outsole. These classically styled runners from the Beaverton brand are set to release this December, so check out a full store list below to see where you can snag a pair.
