Michael Le The bygone era of the 90s is surely not forgotten, as many of those who grew up throughout the ever-innovating decade are now paving the way for the future of the hallowed Beaverton-based label. With Nike ushering back in quite a few retro releases, it spreads the word of the often forgotten models, placing them confidently next to their much younger siblings. Seeing a resurgence only a few weeks ago in an OG tooling, the Air Trainer Huarache — in all its bulky, imposing glory — is gearing up for another release in a retouch of Black, Volt, and Red paints. Logo hits are kept overstated in its use of the signature green tone, while red breaks up the mostly dark upper along the strap, heel counter, and outsole. Though surely more modern than its originating years, the newest iteration is a heartfelt love letter to the Swoosh’s illustrious past. If you find yourself interested in picking up a pair, the Air Trainer Huarache is currently available now on Nike.com for a retail of $115.
