At the dawning of every new year, Nike creates a special “BHM” collection of sneakers and apparel, the sales of which generate financial support for their Ever Higher Fund — an organization that’s focused on bringing sport and mentorship to underserved communities. From classic silhouettes to the newest signature basketball shoes, the Swoosh Brand includes some of their most desirable models in the collection, and this year’s special take on the Nike KD 11 just surfaced. Featuring a mix of elegant navy tones accented with light yellow and grey detailing, this new KD’s most special embellishment is unquestionably the patchwork-style checkered print that adorns the heels, a possible nod to traditional plaid patterns. A silver “BHM” heel stamp replaces the normal Kevin Durant branding on the right shoe’s lateral heel, and a simple white midsole then completes the look. Check out these new KD kicks below, and look for them to release late January/early February alongside other special BHM models like the Air Jordan 2.
