The Nike Air Force 1 Mid Utility Has Fully Iced Out Soles

Nike is no stranger to highly technical designs. They’ve fed techwear heads and lovers of a utilitarian look time and time again — with recent releases like Errolson Hugh’s modified ACRONYM Nike Prestos and the Vapormax Run Utility providing styles that stand in stark contrast to one of the other biggest trends in footwear today: the ubiquitous “dad shoe.” One of the latest models to boast that highly technical design ethos is the Air Force 1 Mid Utility, a silhouette that’s now set to release in a new combination of black and icy blue. Although the shoe’s shape is instantly recognizable as an AF1 Mid, there’s a plentiful helping of differences too, from a neoprene collar to a crossing strap system in place of standard laces. While the upper opts for a simple combo of black tumbled leather and the aforementioned neoprene, the midsole/outsole offer a more classic style, calling upon an icy blue translucent look to blend the past, present, and future of Force. If you’re looking to add some urban ninja-style steez to your sneaker rotation, these new Air Force 1s will release February 8th at the retailers listed below.
