Jack Harlow’s New Balance 1906R Collaboration Releases On October 4th

Updated October 1st, 2024: Jack Harlow confirms that his New Balance 1906R collaboration will release on Friday, October 4th. Full details of the drop have yet to be revealed, but Harlow does premiere a new video on Instagram featuring the sneaker.

In February of 2022, Jack Harlow signed with New Balance’s as one of the brand’s premiere entertainers on roster. It didn’t take long for the Louisville, KY native to get some work on, revealing PE-style issues of the New Balance 550 that nodded to his second studio album. It took a couple of years, but we’re finally getting a follow-up collaboration in the form of the New Balance 1906R, revealed by Instagram user @fkzsnkrs.

At first glance, it’s hard to ignore to deluge of vivid colors. Doused in various shades of pink and red and sitting above a lush green midsole, this 1906R collaboration achieves that audacious colorway that we commonly expect from collaborations with musical acts. The watercolor paintings on the insole suggest a deeper meaning possibly connecting to Southern hospitality and charm given the style of clothing worn by the man and woman on the canvas.

Additionally, Jack Harlow is launching the inaugural Gazebo Festival on the weekend of May 25th-26th. This music festival will feature several big-ticket musical acts including SZA, PinkPantheress, Vince Staples, Rich Homie Quan, and more. Given how surprise shoe drops can coincide with cultural events, there’s a chance that we could see a release that weekend.

In other updates from NB, here’s the latest from the upcoming New Balance 1906 Loafer.
