The Jordan 89 Racer is a hybrid running shoe that takes the timeless DNA of the Air Jordan 4 and combines it with materials/tech from the Flyknit Racer for a look that’s part hoops, part track, and entirely unique. After first dropping in a classic “White Cement” makeup, it’s now released in a duo of colorways that any longtime AJ4 fan is sure to be familiar with: “Toro” and “Oreo”. Utilizing a knit upper for a modern-day take on the 4’s construction, the 89 Racer cleverly includes the 4’s recognizable straps by making them into a printed detail, and presents a true-to-the-original palette as well: red/black on the “Toro,” black/grey with just enough speckle detailing on the “Oreo”. Each shoe then offers a slightly-modified Flyknit Racer midsole, and is completed with a speedy, track-ready outsole.
