Michael Le The Vapormax Gliese’s out-of-this-world design is nothing subtle by any means, with the first iteration toting luxury in its gold-finished paneling. Aiming for something that is slightly more versatile — yet still unapologetically wild — Beaverton has dressed this love letter to the cosmos in a mostly black palette. Underlying animal prints retain the design language found throughout the model’s main motif, with overlays, lace stays, and even the cushioning bubbles sticking to the darker tone in their hue. A contrasting white adds balance to the overall kit, breaking up the bleak appearance along the lace unit as well as the entirety of the upper. Continuing to surprise, it’s a wonder what Nike has in store for the pair’s future.
