The Air Jordan 1 “Banned” Is Releasing Soon For Toddlers

The Air Jordan 1 “Banned/Bred” is unquestionably one of the most-loved and influential sneakers of all time, and now it’s set to release in a pint-sized makeup just for toddlers this spring. Although this may not be the men’s-sized re-release many sneakerheads were undoubtedly hoping for, these tiny Breds do feature a great deal of the same details as their full-sized counterparts, with true-to-the-original black and red leather colorblocking on the upper. However, as they’re optimized for the little ones, there are some differences too: a heel tab provides for easy on/off, the laces are replaced with an elastic slip-on tongue, the toebox swaps out leather for nylon, and the rubbery white midsole rises up to the top of the toebox. These adorable AJ1s will retail for only $40 USD, but if past kid’s releases like Sean Wotherspoon’s Air Max 1/97 and various adidas Yeezy drops are any indication, they’re sure to fetch heavily inflated prices on the secondary market. Check out a gallery of official images right here, and look for a release at the retailers listed below in the coming weeks.

Update: Available now at Nikestore.
