This adidas Marquee Boost Honors 40th Anniversary Of The Top Ten

This adidas Marquee Boost Honors 40th Anniversary Of The Top Ten

Time and time again, adidas has displayed a compelling propensity to combine the rich heritage of their most classic footwear with their new-age silhouettes, making for a look that’s undeniably modern — but still inherently familiar. Now, the Marquee Boost is getting in on the action by paying tribute to one of the Three Stripes’ most classic heritage hoops silhouettes: the adidas Top Ten, a shoe that’s enjoying its 40th anniversary in 2019. The homage is achieved through the color palette, which combines a white base with navy and red accents, much like the original Top Ten. Further commemorative detailing arrives via gold “40th Anniversary” text on the heel. However, there’s plenty of modern-day tech and styling here too. The full-length white Boost midsole ensures exemplary cushion/court feel and is encased in a translucent blue sheath. More gold branding is also present on the medial side, which features a large “Designed In Brooklyn” stamp. A loving homage to a true classic, this Marquee Boost will release on May 1st at the retailers listed below for $150 USD.
