The Nike Air Edge 270 Goes Classic White And Black With Yellow Bubbles

The Nike Air Edge 270 Goes Classic White And Black With Yellow Bubbles

Nike’s Air Edge 270 is a compelling fusion of Swoosh Brand stylings both old and new, combining an upper that draws from Charles Barkley’s Air Max 2 CB 94 with a modern-day Air Max 270 heel unit. It’s already surfaced in a handful of retro-inspired colorways over its relatively short time on the market, and now it’s adding another member to their ranks: a white/black/gold that’s reminiscent of a memorable colorblocking scheme used on the Air DT Max 96. The upper’s base is constructed of a tightly-woven black mesh, and features a large white leather overlay with jagged peaks. This overlay serves a dual purpose, as apart from its style it serves as an anchor of sorts for the velcro straps that hold the lacing system together. A large 270 badge appears on the heel, and down below a white Phylon midsole is combined with a bold gold Air Max cushioning unit to complete the look. These striking Nike shoes will release on Nike.com and at select Swoosh Brand stockists in the coming weeks, so look through a full gallery of official images below while you wait.
