Teased so vehemently by the designer himself and fanning onlookers, the next edition of the MMW x Nike collection takes up seat along four different Free TR 3 SPs: two of each made specially for one gender. Keeping intact that Alyx ethos, Matthew M. Williams extends this sense of modularity and technical craft, following in the path paved by the capsule released just prior. The relationship between interior and exterior are at the centerfold here as the women’s pair boasts translucent paneling that softly poke through into the inners. Laces are then completely thrown out for a sock-like construction with the ankle further referencing that time-enduring accessory. Men’s variants are in heavy departure, opting for a trail-ready speed lacing system alongside a medial zipper, though the one connecting feature is quite obviously the removable Vibram armament, a multi-functional motif that has been seen many a time along the label’s mainline endeavors.
If you’re interesting in grabbing either pair for yourself or close loved ones, expect them to drop in two installments. The first of which is set to take place much sooner on June 8th at the Virgil Abloh collaborated NikeLab Chicago Re-Creation Center. A global will then take place at select retailers and surely Nike.com at the end of the month come June 27th.
