Trailblazing Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov is largely unmatched with his series of ASICS collaborations as the designer has been given almost complete creative freedom with his now six silhouette run. Walking the runway of his Spring/Summer ’20 show — inspired by the Kentucky Derby and its Jockey garbs — is the yet to be named GEL model whose appearance dons tiled uppers in a shimmering material almost akin to patent leather. Its tread, which extends eccentrically onto the pair’s toe box, is one crafted by the young Saint Martins alumnus: a feat that no other third party has had the pleasure of executing. Much like his past releases, the collection includes a vast amount of vibrant colorways with a total of four seeing the light of day. A Triple Black adds a versatile base on which the Blue/Yellow, Green/Pink, and Red/Black can stand, fitting in line with the futuristic equestrian aesthetics of his latest season. Grab a detailed look at each pair and expect a release to go down much later at select retailers.
