Stranger Things x Nike Tailwind “OG Collection” Releases On July 1st

Rounding out the six-pair Stranger Things x Nike collection is throwback take on the Nike Tailwind inspired by July 4th festivities. Although the Tailwind originally debuted in 1979, the shoe was fairly common throughout the 1980s as both a casual and sports footwear option, and there’s no question that these roamed school hallways in that era. For the collaboration with the hit Netflix show, Nike added a vibrant royal blue and red trim to contrast with cream/off-white upper mesh and suede, while clean white adorns the tongue as well as the outsole. The year “1985” is proudly stamped on the heel, while a setting-specific insole with stars and stripes further connects to the season 3 setting of the show. Be sure to cop these when it hits SNKRS on July 1st, and don’t miss the premiere of Stranger Things Season 3 on July 4th exclusively on Netflix.
