Summer 2019 is the season of deconstruction for classic Nike models, and the Air Max Plus is the newest Swoosh silhouette to join the festivities with this stripped-back beige and white makeup. Since its inception in 1998, the Plus has become known for its layered upper and athletic look, but here the layering is presented in a much more subtle fashion, with a pieced-together white base and tongue sitting under ever-so-soft tan suede accents. Of special note is the heel, where the normal TN badge is gone, replaced by a tonal embossed version. This compellingly-crinkled upper is then offset by a traditional midsole, constructed of white foam and featuring a white midfoot shank. The Air Max units offer a neutral grey shade — with the exception of the medial heel which adds a mix of orange and red for traditional AM Plus flair. A grey outsole with a traditional badge then completes the look. These maximally minimalist Nike shoes will release on August 8th, so check out a retailer list directly below to see what stores will have stock come launch day.
