The ASICS GEL-Kayano Trainer Gets Wild Animal Prints

The ASICS GEL-Kayano Trainer Gets Wild Animal Prints

Slowly rising up the ranks of the food chain since the decline of the runner craze, ASICS Tiger is back once more with adventurous make-ups atop their performance-inspired silhouettes. Bringing the Kayano 5 OG back earlier this year and continuing to foster relationships with notable designers Kiko Kostadinov and Vivienne Westwood, the Japan-originated label is aiming to further innovate as the newer Kayano Trainer takes on a yet-to-be-seen luxury makeover. Simple at its core in its choice of a black synthetic, the pair seems to be pulled straight from the factory line and given upholstery with more animalistic inspiration. Soles, left in blank white, along with accents notably undiscerning in their choice of neutrals and sparing reds all take a backseat to the main furry motif whose pattern bears a warped tiger print in loving connection to the brand’s own mascot. Grab a detailed look at the pair right here and find it hitting select retailers come September 20th.
