Celebrating the origins of Blue Ribbon Sports — Nike’s original namesake — the Air Max Tailwind IV goes just a bit further back in time from its 1999 debut, ushering in a palette swap true to the retro imprint’s patriotic form. Red, white, and blue lie at heart of the core presentation with the more statement tones taking a backseat to the neutral at the majority of the construction. Composed of supportive hardshell, mesh base layers, and a slightly rough-textured leather, the pair is one mostly versatile in a sense more retro.
