The Nike Air Zoom Pulse Is Made Specially For Medical Workers

With the arrival of the 2019 Doernbecher Freestyle’s full reveal, Nike is not only paying attention to the many young patients within the hospital walls but also the medical workers whose grueling work often goes unrecognized. Designed with all of their day-to-day efforts in mind, the meticulously crafted Air Zoom Pulse holds a grasp over all situations from emergency to standby. The shoe itself is a restructuring of the clog style, repurposing the simple easy on and off silhouette with a full rubber outsole whose use comes in handy when needed to hurry while still being comfortable during a long 12-hour shift. Uppers themselves are made easy to clean thanks to protective coating at the toe while retaining a construction largely simple, but their prints of a wide assortment end up being anything but: just as the collection is vast with variety, the upcoming release for the work-ready kit is given a makeover by each of this year’s set of young designers. Each of the six total version will go live on Nike.com on December 7th with all proceeds going to OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.
