Straying away from earlier “in-your-face” collaborations with Soulland and sacai, the Nike Blazer Mid ’77 returns in an understated “Light Redwood” colorway just in time for the festive time of year. Equipped with a full tonal upper, this latest iteration is perhaps best suited for anyone trying to transition out of the flashy sneakers of his youth, given the release’s classy suede-and-gum-sole combination. The “Light Redwood” color is louder than the earlier “Velvet Brown” version Nike released, but it’s equally as welcomed. Like that pair, this newest Blazer Mid ’77 keeps the model’s exposed foam tongues and red swoosh logo.
