In the past few months, it’s been impossible to escape the Air Force 1. With collaborations from the likes of G-Dragon, A Ma Maniere, and much more, it’s easy to see that Nike is well aware of the silhouette’s impact, and as we arrive closer to 2020, it seems they still have a lot more in store — the next up likely being a partnership with Ronnie Fieg and his now legendary KITH imprint. Already a strong family member of umbrella label Converse, this release has surely been a long time coming, lending with it an already established sense of hype. Design-wise, the pair is quite unassuming as is in line with prior works; the upper is composed of a luxe smooth leather throughout, opting out of a Sail hit save for along the sole unit whose finish gives a more vintage air. Elsewhere, miniature swooshes embellish the lateral toe cap just underneath the vamp with a sultry green that lies in contrast to the overlaid check whose debossing maximal imprints with the “KITH” box logo in checkered perpetuity. Linings bear dark navy, lace tips gold hardware, and a hang tag the same elegant feature with branding surely marked alongside. Grab another quick look at these right here and sit tight for word on their official release date.
Update: According to the note accompanying the seeded pairs, the KITH x Air Force 1 is exclusively for friends and family.
