Nike is outfitting its recently confirmed Air Max 270 React ENG model with a stealthy black and sapphire look. A departure from the bright yellows found on both upcoming inline and Cactus Jack releases, this covert color scheme resembles the double-Swoosh “Just Do It” set of Air Maxes for kids from last November. Re-engineered uppers opt for pitch-black construction, though their newly introduced curvy add-ons provide a slight obsidian contrast. Midsole, forefoot, and lining follow suit as they all don navy hues, albeit noticeably bluer. Livening up this pair, hits of vibrant “Sapphire” take over profile Swooshes – smaller on the 270’s 2020 version – and lace toggles.
