While yet to rival the popularity its Ultra Boost and NMD counterparts have seen among “sneakerheads,” the adidas Nite Jogger has gradually garnered widespread attention from casual footwear enthusiasts thanks in part to its collaborations with Disney’s Star Wars and streamer Richard Tyler Blevins, better known as Ninja. And with its inclusion in the inaugural IVY PARK x adidas capsule collection, the ’80s retro is on track to have a huge 2020. Away from its special releases, the Nite Jogger has kept a roster full of appealing options, soon to be joined by two recently surfaced “Silver Metallic” and “Core Black” makeups. While these understated hues have previously adorned the lifestyle silhouette’s mesh and nylon upper, suede overlays, and BOOST-midsole, they’ve rarely – if ever – been contrasted by bold striping like that found at the latter component. Done in a grey, white, and red trifecta, the detail animates the otherwise uneventful bottom halves of both pairs. Elsewhere, similar tones accent collars and eyestays, while adidas branding – done in an unusual digitized styling – further enlivens the two releases’ reserved aesthetics.
