Thank you, Kobe Bryant, for elevating the standards of competition, preparation, tenacity, and desire. Thank you for taking the wins and losses with grace. Thank you for building friendships with teammates, not teammates out of friends. Thank you for your cerebral approach to everything outside of the game – from your Nike footwear to your business ventures. Thank you for growing closer to the game after your retirement. Your rings, MVPs, scoring titles, or gold medals are just a small portion of why you are truly one of the greatest of all-time, and perhaps the unquestionable GOAT to many fans today. There will forever be a void, but the basketball and sneaker community promise to fulfill your lifelong dreams.
