Allen Iverson’s Bethel High School Inspires Upcoming Reebok Answer V

Allen Iverson’s Bethel High School Inspires Upcoming Reebok Answer V

Reebok’s Answer V has recently enjoyed nostalgia-driven vibrancy thanks to Pharrell’s BBC Ice Cream. Though toned down, the sneaker’s upcoming “Black/Dark Green/Fierce Gold” arrangement unquestionably nods to the past, too.

A faithful reproduction of pairs worn by Allen Iverson in 2001, the Answer V features a black tumbled leather upper accented with signature details. Pearlized synthetic overlays cover the tongue in a rich green, which also lines the collar and DMX cushioning enclosure. Iverson’s “I3” logo keeps its original white/black/red color scheme, but switches up on the tongue; “The Answer’s” emblem is printed in silver atop regal yellow lining. Elsewhere, upper eye stays, heel padding and lockdown straps, as well most outsole traction, follow suit in “Fierce Gold.” All together, this basketball retro nods to Iverson’s time playing for the Bethel High School Bears in Hampton, Virginia.

Take a closer look at this Answer V here below and find them at Reebok.com for $140 USD come February 28th.
