As unveiled during its Tokyo Olympics 2020 showcase, Nike is focused on improving its performance-running options. And while injury-reduction and energy-loss have been addressed by models like the React Infinity Run and VaporFly NEXT%, the distinct variances within trail running have long gone underserved. But the newly launched Terra Kiger 6 aims to change that.
Released today alongside the Wildhorse 6, the sixth version of the Kiger features a revamped mesh upper to guard against the elements. Aggressive treading underfoot also ensures rocks and mud stand no chance while out running in the backcountry. Elsewhere, a better fit has been secured by isolating the front eyelets, while hotspots in the toe box have been addressed through a reshaped tip overlay. As demonstrated by the model’s launch “Aura” colorway, the forefoot tooling also serves an aesthetic purpose. Its debut iteration proffers a Spring-ready “Speed Yellow” arrangement; follow-ups in April will tone things down in charcoal and teal alongside respective black and olive uppers.
The Terra Kiger 6 is available now on Nike.com for $130 USD and will release in more colorways beginning in April.
Away from the trails, Nike recently added “Thunderstorm Blue” snakeskin and pony hair to the Air Force 1 Low.
