Nike Temporarily Closes Retail Stores Worldwide Amid Coronavirus COVID-19 Crisis

Amid COVID-19’s inevitable spread, companies worldwide are beginning to rethink business, either transitioning to a work-from-home set-up or simply covering the wages of their part-time workers as their storefronts close one after the other. Nike, with the well-being of their staff in mind, are obviously set to follow suit as their locations across the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand will be shuttering from March 16th to March 27th. Online channels as well as the SNKRS app will still be up and running while Nike-managed facilities have begun implementing staggered schedules, social distancing, and many other preventive measures. In Asia — specifically South Korea, Japan, and most of China — stores will still be open and operating as normal.
